Christmas in Llanelli

There are a number of different things to do at Christmas in Llanelli.

On the 19th November the annual carnival was held in the town centre.  With rides, fireworks, music from local bands such as The Rookz and radios such as Scarlet FM as well as a Christmas parade. This is always a very popular event with thousand of people of all ages coming and celebrating the beginning of the Christmas period.

From the 19th November 2010 to the 9th January 2011 there is a winter wonderland in Swansea. With an ice skating rink, Santa’s grotto and rides such as the big wheel. This is located about 30 minutes away from Llanelli and a great place for the family to have a day out at Christmas.

Also, on the 21st November, at 2:00 pm there is the traditional “reindeer coming to town” in the town centre. Not only is there real reindeer (apart from Rudolph!) there is Santa’s grotto, rides and candy stalls. This is a perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit.

There is always a Christmas/new year pantomime in most theatres around and in Llanelli. We have had many fairytales told in pantomimes as well as the well know comedy actor, Denny Twp (a actor very popular with children of all ages)

These are just a handful of all of the Christmas activities that happen in and around Llanelli.
