The 2010 Salvation Army Appeal is Underway

The Year 8 Fancy Dress Sponsored Walk in support of Bryngwyn's Annual Salvation Army Appeal was held on Monday, 6th December. The top fund raisers were Llyr Lewis who raised £87 and Omar Ali who raised over £60. Mrs T Crowther and Mr P Barnes were the best Fancy Dressed of all the teaching staff who participated.

Various other fund raising activities for the Salvation Army appeal include cake stalls, an auction, etc and are held throughout the holiday season to raise money to buy Christmas gifts for local underprivileged children.

Unfortunately, due to the unseasonally cold weather, the 2010 Woodlice Derby will not be held this year as all the local woodlice have gone underground. Most years this is one of the most popular fund raising activities with the woodlice contenders named and bets taken on the winner - all the funds go to the appeal!

We will continue to update this page as more news is available, in particular, the pictures of all the gifts once purchased with the funds raised. Please check back....
