Memories of World War I

Bryngwyn has been very fortunate this week as one of our pupils, Niamh Dundas-Thomas from Year 9, has been kind enough to bring into school a diary which was kept between 1914 and 1917 by her great-grandfather, Reginald Banyard.  The diary contains a selection of 'Carte Postale' (postcards) from all areas of France during World War I and is a fascinating insight into what life was really like for the soldiers involved.  To read a very moving poem written at the back of the diary, please click here.
