Salvation Army Appeal

Dear Parent/Carer,
Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal 2020
It's that time of year again when we, as a school community start the ball rolling on Bryngwyn's fundraising campaign for the Salvation Army. Our involvement with this Christmas Appeal goes back well over 25years. As you will agree it is 'Bryngwyn doing it's best'- pupils and form teachers working together to think up and carry out novel and fun ways to raise money. We normally raise, year on year, in excess of £4 500.
No one needs reminding that this year it is very different, but we feel strongly that this year, more than ever, we should continue our involvement with this cause. The gifts we have bought in the past have been donated to families within the Llanelli area so it is very much a local cause. Attached is a PPT which includes photos of our past activities. **
This year our fundraising activities are limited to a year group sponsored walk, and money will be collected via your Parent Pay Account. At the time of writing each year group, in their bubble, will walk around the school's sports track during their morning registration and all recent covid restrictions will be adhered to. Isolations and weather permitting these days will be:-
Monday 23rd Nov - Year 10
Tuesday 24th Nov - Year 9
Wednesday 25th Nov -Year 11
Thursday 26th November - Year 7
Friday 27th November - Year 8
Pupils must wear their school uniform on these days but can wear their PE kit and trainers.
To reiterate as a school we normally raise over £4 500 each year. Within our school community, pupils and staff, if we all make a contribution together this target may not be too much to aim for this year. Please donate as much as you can
I look forward to us all working together.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs Alderman
